· Raising the awareness of the need for participation in short-term, direct missions through going and sending
· Providing a variety of dates and venues so your church members have flexibility
· Facilitating participation by one or two church members or an entire team
· Keeping our costs, and therefore mission prices as low as possible
· Giving your members the opportunity to participate in exciting, cutting-edge, point of the spear missions
· Returning church members to you with a new excitement and motivation for other Christian service

WHAT IS DIFFERENT ABOUT OUR MISSIONS?  Our missions …
· Are all about evangelism and the follow-up that results in new Christians in fellowship with a local Baptist church
· Put the volunteer in the position to succeed and be a vital part of the team
· Put the volunteer at the “point of the spear” as the point of contact with the lost
· Do not waste the volunteers’ time or money with excessive tourism and other non-mission related activities
· Make wise and efficient use of time, materials, money, volunteers and other resources
· Are not enamored with the latest fads in missions, but we use proven methods of evangelism while being open to the Holy Spirit to respond to new situations and opportunities
· Are frontline evangelism opportunities, not tourism opportunities

WHO ARE WE?  We …
· Are Southern Baptist – full-time faith missionaries
· Came out of professional careers into full-time missionary service in 2000

· Active in short-term, direct missions since 1992

WHAT IS OUR MISSION?  Our mission is …
· Evangelism
· Motivating and mobilizing Christians to short-term, direct missions (point of the spear)
· Leading volunteer teams  in point of the spear evangelism through Practically Speaking English, medical, and children events

HOW WE DO OUR MISSION?  We …
· Partner with U.S. Southern Baptist Churches and Baptist churches in the host countries
· Use ordinary people (Christians) with a wide variety of backgrounds to come in contact with the lost
· Provide excellent pre-trip, comprehensive training, orientation and preparation
· Personally supervise the preparation of the mission venue in the host country
· Enable the volunteer to be successful and to grow spiritually while in the field
· Maintain the focus of evangelism (not distracted by “good” works or site seeing, and thereby missing opportunities to do the “greater” work)
· Manage and execute turn-key mission events (training, travel, logistics, materials, insurance, etc.)
· Require the host church to follow-up on each person that was reached during the mission event
