Our Practically
Speaking English Courses Reached Hundreds in Nicaragua
We debuted the new Practically Speaking English for Children and almost 200 children and many parents attended each event. Many of the parents who accompanied their children responded to the gospel message along with dozens and dozens of children. Appreciation goes to the children's teams from Greenbriar Baptist Church (Alvarado, TX) and Hulen Street Baptist Church (Fort Worth).
In the adult course, more than 700 practiced conversational English and heard the gospel message. Of those, 298 indicated on our questionnaire that they had prayed to receive Christ as their Lord and Savior. The teams from Hulen Street Baptist Church (Fort Worth, TX), Eastside Baptist Church (Fort Smith, AR), Retta Baptist Church (Burleson, TX) and St. Andrews Baptist Church (Panama City, FL) persevered through the heat and dust to lovingly build relationships with each student.
Prison Ministry
Fort Worth, TX - The "Retta Rockers" (senior adult group) of Retta Baptist Church has been preparing teammate packets for the Bill Glass Champions for Life prison events for the past four years. Last week they prepared more than 1,500 packets that teammates will use in ministering to men and women inmates across the U.S. By our estimate, the "Retta Rockers" have stuffed more than 12,000 packets in the last four years. Statistically, each packet represents 1 or more first time decisions for Christ and 1 or more decision for assurance or recommitment.
Our Aggie grad soon to graduate again! N.A.S. Pensecola
-
On January 28, Aaron reported for duty at Naval Air Station
Pensacola for officer candidate school. He has passed all the
inspections, tests, exams, and hardship through his 5th week of OCS.
He will graduate April 20th as an ensign in the U.S. Navy. A granddaughter on the way! Marshall, TX - Our daughter Sara and her husband David are anxiously awaiting the birth of their first child (it's a girl!). Sara and baby girl are doing well with an expected due date of June 16, 2007. Needless to say, Trisha and I are thrilled to have another grandchild.
Our grandsons Max and Drew (Casey's and Ashley's boys) will get a baby cousin.

Teams of 10-12 adult men and women will work at each ministry site to reach the 400-500 adults that will attend each event. There are openings for dozens of volunteers. Each teacher will need a valid U.S. passport. Passports can be easily obtained and we will help you with that process.
The curriculum is super easy to teach and very little preparation is required. We provide the teaching materials and will train you in how to facilitate the exercises. The students do most of the work. Read more about the course and course topics at http://www.psenglish.com.

away. Children's Home Project News We are having to make some adjustments to our plans for the children's home near Managua. The November elections in Nicaragua have brought some confusion and uncertainty to the government agency that oversees government licensed homes.
Our goal is to be excluded from this government oversight, but they heard about our project and have made inquiries that indicate that they are interested in watching what is done there. We are now praying about how to go forward with building projects that might keep the government out of the picture.
In the meantime, through sponsorships from our supporters, we continue to to help feed and clothe the 39 children living in the Diaz private home.
2007 Calendar Available Our 2007-08 calendar is already filling with English language evangelism events, Business English evangelism events, prison ministry and the Children's Home project. We need lots of volunteers to fill all these projects with laborers. We've just updated our website (www.jodykennedy.com) with the 2007-08 schedule. We are praying for volunteers and finances to accomplish these vital projects.
