Business
English in Managua
You
may remember my urgent appeal for volunteers to respond to a last minute
invitation by UPOLI to bring another Business English course to their
campus.
Four
wonderful volunteers have responded to our call for help in conducting
another Business English course at the University Polytechnic of
Nicaragua (UPOLI). This group of 6 will travel to Managua on
Saturday, July 15 and begin classes on Monday. We will have
business men and women and university students in classes and as our
relationships build, we will clearly share the gospel with them all.
Children's
Program in El Crucero, Nicaragua
Ben and Julie Agee (LOVEM CARE Ministries)
l joined us with
a team of 9 to work with the children in El Crucero during the week of
June 17 - 22. We went up to El Crucero every day and played
soccer, basketball, baseball, and other sports with the children and
youth from the village. Bible stories and some crafts punctuated
each day as the message of Christ was shared.
Report from Bogotá,
Colombia
From
June 24 to July 8 we were joined in Bogotá by
volunteers from Arkansas, Florida and Texas. We are grateful
to Eastside Baptist Church of Fort Smith, AR who sent 9 team members to
us. Our team hosted more than 400 students in a two-week
conversational English course. Through the relationships
established over the course of these two weeks, the hearts of our
student-friends were opened and 270 of them said "yes" to
Christ.
We
are also grateful to Iglesia Cristiana Nacion Grande, our host church in
Bogotá. They did a great job of caring
for us while we were there so we could focus on our students and the job
of teaching English, building relationships, and sharing the gospel
message.
Children's
Home Project News
We are
waiting for one more legal document from the Nicaraguan government that
will show ownership of the property we have purchased. Due to the
civil war in the 1980's, property ownership and land titles were
disrupted and confused. This legal process will assure us that no
one will come at a later date and lay claim to the lots where the
children's home will be built. We have been told that we can
expect to receive this during the month of July.
After we
receive this we will be ready to begin work on the foundation of the new
building. In the meantime, we are doing some upgrades to the
existing family home.
Please pray
along with us that the donations will come in steadily so that once we
begin the actual construction, we can maintain momentum and finish the
construction quickly.

2006
Calendar Available
Our 2006 calendar is already filled with English language evangelism
events, Business English evangelism events, prison ministry and the
Children’s Home project. We
need lots of volunteers to fill all these projects with laborers.

with the 2006-2007 schedule. We are praying for volunteers and
finances to accomplish these vital projects.
